This website will provide you with an opportunity to explore how economic opportunity and life chances are changing with the growing incorporation of Kirksville, a town of approximately 17,500 people in Northeastern Missouri, into an increasingly integrated global economy and with the concurrent shift in the relationship between government and citizens beginning in the early 1980s.
This site has been produced by students enrolled in SOAN 265 Structured Inequalities as part of our work for the course. In conducting our investigations we have benefited from the support of Carolyn Chrisman and the staff at KREDI, Andrea Davis and the staff at CAPNEMO, and Donny Waybill of the Adair County Tax Assessors office among others.
